Have you ever wonder that while you are working hard trying to promote products as an affiliate all over the internet, what are your vendors and affiliate managers doing? I realised that while being in two separate roles, the vendor and affiliate manager have something in common, they have to provide support and services to their affiliates inorder for them to carry on promoting their products and services.

Along the way, my adventures on the internet so far has helped me see some light and i learned alot of stuff from my experiences. I wanna share some tips here with my readers and hope that you will realise the importance of having a good relationship with your vendors and affiliate managers.

Point 1
Ok so you guys read about how i lost some commission previously after my account with one of the products i was promoting got mysteriously suspended. Till today i still never hear anything from them. No support, no answers from the affiliate managers= VERY BAD. Drop them and move on since there are tons of products to promote anyway.

Point 2
Some networks have a system of appointed affiliate managers for you when you sign up as an affiliate with them. These networks gives you an assurance of knowing that someone is taking care of your account and you can look for them when you encounter problems. My experience with these are great so far and i have nothing to complain. My affiliate managers made efforts to find out what kind of products i am interested in promoting and they even create sales landing pages and customised creatives for me in those categories! Try corresponding with them a few times to get to know your affiliate manager better and it will be easier in the future you will know for sure.

I also receive a welcome letter from one company a few days after i signed up with them. Imagine a welcome letter all the way from USA to Singapore just to make you feel you are appreciated. This is the kind of service you should receive and in a business you create that trust and credibilty to your affiliates and customers. Awesome! Find more networks or programs like these to promote!

Of cos i understand the frustration (i experienced lots the past few days due to a site im working on) and feeling lousy when shit happens but well we still have to solve it no matter how. Thinking is easy but doing is not. I guess everyone have to learn the hard way, including myself. Got work to do, im outta here.
