New Marketing Ideas From A Cabinet Purchase
Recently i’m just totally into doing my own stuff and still have not touched on anything relating to IM. Of cos my eBay store is still running and i just take a look as when i like to. I’m in holiday mood right now and giving myself a super big break after modifying my Nintendo DS and busy downloading lots of games and playing all those games! Lolz that’s what i call fun!
Besides that, being an avid Hard Rock Cafe bears collector, i decided to give all my bears a new home instead of cramping them in a huge plastic bag. I bought 2 glass cabinets from Ikea last nite with the help of my dear cousin Frederick (cos he got a car and he got to help me transport it home and then he got to carry them up and assemble them for me hee hee i’m so evil but truely it was very nice of him to help me cos those cabinets were damn super heavy!) I also bought some storage boxes for my other nitty gritties.
Ok the point i wanna say is what i’ve realised from the trip to Ikea. So the cabinet was supposed to sell at original price of $99.00 but because they were having this Pre-Christmas promotion thingy and for this week’s weekday special the cabinet sells for only $69.00! That’s $30.00 off which is a pretty good deal! The only thing was that they only have it in white color. I saw a similar one in black but there was no discount for it, still $99.00. It’s only the color that was different and everything else were exactly the same! So thinking from the seller’s point of view, to get rid of the excess stock of the white cabinets, they can sell it at a cheaper price.
Relating it to Internet Marketing, if you have your own product or store, you can practice similar approach like one time offer only or give a time frame as to when the promotion ends. Provide discount and bonuses to your customers and add on the spice to make them buy from you. Cheaper price + More Goodies always attract. I mean in real life how many times have you purchased something just because you will get a freebie? I do even when i dun even need the item!
Well that’s something to think about from my cabinet shopping trip last nite. End of the day, i just love my new display cases for my lovely bears!
